The laboratory deals with:
- Cultivation of human intestinal cells of tumour and non-tumour origin
- Construction of three-dimensional human intestinal models with different types of epithelial cells or PBMC
- Microorganisms and human intestinal models interaction assays
- Immunological (ELISA), molecular (RT-qPCR, RNA-seq), proliferative and physiological assays applied to human cells in co-culture
- Host/human intestinal model interaction analysis through Tras-epithelial Electrical Resilience (TEER)
- Primary cultures on insect immunocytes
- Insect immune system and insect-symbiotic and non-symbiotic microorganisms interaction analysis
- Advice in experimental design (human/microorganism and insect/microorganism studying models)
- New users training
- Technical assistance in data interpretation.
The laboratory is accessible only on request accompanied by authorised staff.
