Dario Donno, Master graduated in Chemistry, Ph.D. in Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences. Currently Senior Research Technician at the Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences, University of Turin.
From 06/11/2024 he achieved the National Scientific qualification as associate professor in the Italian higher education system, in the call 2023/2025 (Ministerial Decree n. 1796/2023) for the disciplinary field of 03/D1 - Medicinal, toxicological and nutritional chemistry and applied technologies. (Academic Recruitment Field 03/D - Medicinal and food chemistry and applied technologies, according to the national classification).
His research mainly focuses on analytical strategies (e.g. chromatographic and spectroscopic analysis coupled to multivariate statistical analysis) for the extraction, identification and quantification of nutritional substances and bioactive compounds in different plant materials (buds, leaves, fruits, bark), herbal preparations and food supplements, by-products and wastes derived from food and phytotherapeutic supply chains, and agri-food industry derived-products for their quality and traceability evaluation. He actively participates in national and international conferences and research projects and related publications together with educational and scientific dissemination activities.
